Individual student access to Scrub Notes is free. Students and educators may visit, interact with, and link to the publicly available tools for lawful educational purposes.

Ownership notice. Original human-authored text, educational arrangements, original code contributions, visual elements, and other eligible works are claimed by their respective rightsholders, including the Scrub Notes operator where applicable. Facts, clinical methods, public-domain material, and third-party works are not claimed merely because they appear on this site.

Permitted educational use

You may study with the simulators, complete quizzes, create personal study notes, share links to pages, and use the site's designated export or study-summary features. Nursing instructors may direct students to the free site.

Uses requiring permission

No general permission is granted to clone, rebrand, mirror, sell, package, distribute, or commercially exploit the site's protected original content or software, except where the law independently permits such use. Do not represent Scrub Notes content as your own or imply endorsement or affiliation without permission.

Quoting, criticism, fair use, accessibility rights, and other lawful exceptions remain unaffected. Linking to the public website does not require a school license.

Third-party references

Names of medicines, medical facts, published guidelines, source citations, and referenced organizations remain subject to their own legal status. External links do not imply sponsorship or endorsement. Scrub Notes is an independent educational project and does not claim university affiliation.

Virtual coins and Study Passport

Coins, badges, scores, and other rewards are virtual study features with no cash value. Recovery codes contain progress snapshots, not verified identities. A user-modified recovery code or a self-graded answer is not proof of a credential or competency. These tools may change as the platform develops.

Medical safety

The site is for education only, not patient care or prescribing. Do not provide patient-identifying information. Read the full clinical disclaimer.

Availability and updates

We may revise content and features. The service is provided as available without promises of uninterrupted access or medical accuracy. Any paid institutional services will be governed by separate written terms.
